How it works
Anyone can put shows on at 59 Argyle. If you are an organizer, or in a band, and want to put on a show, you can do it for cheap, and easy in the basement in our home. Whether it be theatre, music or film, or a combination, all are welcome to participate and use the space.
WHY? Because the people who live here want to use our basement for more than just storing old clothes and bikes. We want to use it creatively, and help make Ottawa a more interesting place to live.
COST: 59-Argyle is non-profit driven, hower, mainly because of electricity costs, the labour that goes into putting on a show, Argyle has in place a prices for you to put on a show.
If you are a local organizer, the cost is $50.00 for a night's use.
If you are an out of town organizer, the price is only $30.00. After that ALL TICKET PROFITS go to you.
We can provide a door person if you need, too. We also reccomend that tickets cost $5.00 and doors at 7pm. This way things stay cheap, and we can finish the show before the 11pm bylaw cutoff.
